Dare to Touch

Olivia Dare, executive director of the Miami Thunder, and team travel director, Dylan Rhodes share more than just a passion for football–their chemistry is explosive and their feelings for each other are intense. But Olivia is wary of any man getting too close. Given her background – a near-bigamist dad and an ex-boyfriend who merely enforced her lack of priority in his life – Olivia fears being hurt again but she can’t resist embarking upon a passionate affair with Dylan, even as she holds part of herself back.

Dylan isn’t a man who does anything half way. Once he decides to pursue Olivia, he goes all in. When the Pro-Bowl takes them to the desert oasis of Arizona, Dylan is determined to make sure their time together isn’t all business. What happens while at the luxury resort is life altering but when Olivia admits her deepest pain, will Dylan be able to prove he’s a man with staying power? Or will Olivia be disappointed  again, this time by the most important man in her life?

Dare to Love Series Book 5

I was lucky enough to receive a review copy of Dare to Touch from the author with the promise of an honest review. I've loved each and every one of the books in the series so far and was super excited to get a chance to read Dare to Touch early.

I absolutely loved every minute of Olivia and Dylan's story! I'm pretty sure I say this about every single time I read a new book by Carly Phillips, but Dare to Touch is one of my favorite books ever. I seriously couldn't put this book down.

I fell in love with Dylan as soon as he kissed Olivia at her birthday party. They had amazing chemistry from the very beginning of the story and it only grew stronger the more time they spent together. Olivia has major trust issues thanks not only to her dad, but an ex-boyfriend who left her with even more scars. Olivia is one of the strongest characters in this series, yet she still has the hurt little girl inside her. I seriously want to hit her dad for the way he treats some of his children.

Dylan is determined to make it work with Olivia no matter what. He understands Olivia's issues because of her dad and is willing to work with her on other issues. I loved Olivia and Dylan as a couple. Both are such strong characters and only were stronger once they were a couple. I really thought their relationship was so strong because they were friends before they were lovers and they were both open about trust issues from the very beginning. I worried that Olivia's trust issues might be tested by Dylan's friendship with he ex-girlfriend from high school, but Olivia was very open to having her own friendship with Meg soon after they met.

I felt like the heat level in this book was right for the characters. While the heat level wasn't as hot as some the other books in the series, it was perfect for Olivia and Dylan. Honestly as soon as I finished reading Dare to Touch, I wanted to start re-reading it right away.

Dare to Touch is another winner in the Dare to Love series from Carly Phillips. Dare to Touch is a heartfelt, emotional, sexy and sweet story. I can't wait to see which sibling will be featured in the next book in this series.
