I really wanted to love this book. I really liked the
heroine Piper, and even liked the hero Aiden as well. However, I didn't feel
any connection to them as a couple. They were fine as individuals, but as this
is a romance, I wanted an actual romance. They didn't even kiss until almost
50% of the book was finished. I did loved the story about the dogs and
absolutely fell in love with Colin and Sophie. I just didn't buy the romance
aspect of this story and therefore couldn't even finish reading the book. I had
to DNF a book, especially one I was really excited to read, but I need romance
in my romance books. I did give the book over 50% before I decided to DNF it. I
feel like this story might work better for other readers, just didn't work for
me.
