Bodyguard Bad Boys … Sexy, Hot, and oh so protective!
A pop star in danger.
Her reluctant bodyguard.
A past they can’t deny.
Summer Michelle is on the verge of ultimate fame.
Ben Hollander has sworn off mixing business with pleasure.
But keeping his hands off of the sexy songstress is easier said than done and once the threat is neutralized, will she choose fame over love?

Excerpt:

Her heart was pounding hard in her chest, the thunderous live applause still echoing around her and the rush of success and pride in overcoming what could have been a disaster, had her soaring.

“Did you see that?” she asked Ben.  “My earpiece went dead and I nailed it anyway!”

“You totally did,” he said, a huge grin on his face that let her know he understood what a huge moment this was.

She squealed in excitement and threw her arms around his neck, needing to share her exhilaration. Their gazes met and locked, the air around them suddenly crackling with tension and sexual need even Ben couldn’t deny.

She knew what she wanted, knew there was no better time to go about it. Her gaze fell to his mouth and she pressed her lips against his. He jerked in surprise then groaned, thrust his hand beneath her hair, holding her against him as he slid his tongue past the seam of her lips and kissed her back.

He might think he wanted to keep his distance but his body was demanding they get close, his mouth gliding back and forth over hers, razor stubble bristling her cheeks in a sweet burn and his tongue delved deep. Against her stomach, she felt the hard press of his erection, causing desire to sweep over her in waves.

No wonder she hadn’t found a guy she wanted to keep in her life. No one could live up to Ben.

He kissed like he wanted to possess her.

Own her.

Keep her.

Nikki’s Review:

Fun. I always have so much fun in any world Carly Phillips conjures up! This brand new series is just as delicious as some of my other favourites by this author.

Summer and Ben have a past. He's been burned by her, or so he thinks, and she feels awful for how things ended between them. One of the things that I appreciated from the get go, was that the misunderstanding between them was cleared up quickly. A simple conversation made things better. Sure, they still had issues and obstacles standing in their way, but there wasn't this simmering animosity that often annoys me in romance novels.

Ben is Summer's bodyguard. She's an up and coming pop star. This makes for a lot of up close and personal interactions between the hero and heroine...wink wink. I loved the dynamic between these two. After the mess of their past was cleared away they had an easy affection for each other. Don't get me wrong, there was lots of inner angst going on, but the chemistry was always noticeable. Speaking of chemistry...Ben seems like he'd be a lot of fun in the sweaty sex department.

I can already tell that this series is going to be like a "family saga". The characters aren't related by blood, but their  friendships make them family by choice. There's an easy camaraderie between Ben and his friends/colleagues. I enjoyed the parts where I got a peek into Ben's life outside his job.

I really enjoyed the easy flow of this book. The plot pulled me in from the first page and held on tight until the end. I'm already looking forward to the next few books in the series! The set up is there and I'm already intrigued. Rock Me was a fantastic start to this series!

Liza’s Review:

Rock Me is the first book in the new Bodyguard Bad Boys from Carly Phillips. I was once again pulled into the story from the very first page and devoured this book.

I adore a second chance romance, and Rock Me was done so very well. I loved Summer Michelle from the moment we met her and broody and sexy Ben Hollander made me swoon a bit from the very beginning. Seriously loved they had a past and Ben was hired to be Summer's bodyguard. I felt instant chemistry between these two characters and couldn't wait for them to act upon their mutual attraction.

While Ben was hired to keep Summer safe, and there were elements of suspense around who was behind the threats on Summer, I felt like this story was really more of a straight up romance. I had a pretty good idea early on who was behind everything, just not why. However, I loved how being back together brought Summer and Ben together as a couple really quickly. They just worked so well as a couple for me. I loved they really were friends as well as lovers and began to confide in each other about family issues and both wanted to help the other out with said family issues.

The sex scenes between Ben and Summer were smoking hot! I loved that Summer had no problems going after what she wanted when it came to Ben and he was powerless to resist his attraction for long. I also loved the fun and tender scenes between them. I feel like I'm gushing about them as a couple, but they just gave me all the feels and I loved seeing two such strong characters find a way back to one another.

Rock Me was an awesome start to the new Bodyguard Bad Boys series from Carly Phillips. She nailed the second chance romance from their very first encounter. I loved seeing Summer and Ben find their way back to each other. I love books in a series and can't wait to see each of the sexy bodyguards fall in love with each new story.
